Premiere Dance Staff

Starsha Laurtzin has been studying dance from a very young age. She has accumulated more than twenty years of experience in dance as a competitor and now as a qualified and certified instructor.

Starsha posesses extensive training in jazz, ballet, lyrical, acro, and hip hop.

Starsha completed most of her training at Tiffany's Dance Elite Studio in Hamilton, Ontario. Starsha won a variety of titles and scholarships which resulted in travels to Las Vegas, New York, touring in Australia, as well as a full year apprentice scholarship in L.A.

In addition to her impressive stage and studio credentials, Starsha has also appeared in several movies and commercials. Her professional theatre production stage credits include "Joseph and the Amazing...", "West Side Story", "Jesus Christ Superstar" and "The Music Man" to name a few.

Starsha's skills remain current and cutting edge as she takes an active role in the dance scene. Starsha assists with the Triple Threat and CanDance conventions as an adjudicator and advisor. Iin addition, Starsha works with some of North america's top chorepgraphers such as Carrie Ann Inaba, Marty Kudelka, Tyce Diorio and Mandy Moore.

Starsha has performed at the Gemini Awards, Remax Awards, Toronto Film Festivals, Legends Alive Tour and Fashion Cares. Mac Cosmetics and Wella hair are some of the industrials she has worked on. Starsha has been in constant demand as a dancer for music performers. Starsha has worked with some big names as a back up dancer, including: Chaka Khan, Geri Hallowell, Punjabi Hit Squad and Vanessa Olivarez of American Idol.

Starsha's passion is dancing whether it is performing or teaching. She would love to pass on her technical skills and artistic talents to the students at Premiere Dance.
